– I was shocked when I visited their home. I could not see a book anywhere. How can people not read?

– Appalling. Watch television, I suppose.

– Even when we were growing up we always had books.

– Dreadful!

The waitress gathered the empty dishes and said: ” But they have a heart the size of the New York Public Library!!!”
